Another shabby chic string project

Some of you may remember that I signed up to the string block challenge earlier this year and made myself my first ever patchwork cushion.

Well I have a stall at a shopping night tonight so I thought I would make a few more to take along with me. As it happens I just got round to making one before I started to rush things and made myself stop, but I'm quite pleased with it.

I used a combination of vintage Laura Ashley cornflower and blue brushed cotton to make the string sections and some rather lovely polka dot fabric for the opposite pieces.

I took a spot of inspiration from the lovely Dottie Angel and added a little vintage doily to the centre just to finish it off.

I'm kind of hoping it doesn't sell now, but I will be good and if I end up bringing it home with me then it will be added to the Folksy shop later
