Super Dooper Summer Daytrip

Friday July 5th  - 9am - 5pm

Put the date in your diary NOW as you won't want to be anywhere else than on the Beautiful Things Bus to Crafty Heaven!

First stop on the Beautiful Things Bus is the fabulous 'Shedquarters' of Blooming Felt.  An absolute treasure trove of everything felty, ribbon, trim and lots lots more.  Sarah will be welcoming us with a cuppa and a demonstration of needle felting techniques and then you will get a chance to look around and shop.

Back on the bus and this time we are off to FABRIC REHAB!!  Yes that fantastic on-line supplier of amazing fabrics actually has a shop.  Usually only open on Tuesdays and Thursdays Fabric Rehab has agreed to open EXCLUSIVELY for us so we will have the whole shop completely to ourselves for a whole hour!

After all that shopping you will be ready for lunch and we have a table booked on the riverside at the Boathouse Restaurant in Dedham.  If it's a sunny day we will be dining Al Fresco and if the sun decides to hide we will have the best 'indoor with a view' table.  Enjoy 2 courses (starter and Main) included in the price of your ticket. A menu will be available for you to pre-order from a couple of week before the trip.

After lunch it's time to catch your breath with a short 5 minute walk to the Dedham Art and Craft Centre.  Enjoy a leisurely hour looking at the work of some of Essex's finest artisans.

Then meet up again in the in-house tearooms to enjoy a cream tea (also included in your ticket price)!!

Then it's back on the coach for the drive back to Beautiful Things HQ, arriving back at approximately 5pm

Tickets cost £48 per head including*, travel, lunch & cream tea.

*lunchtime drinks and any purchases in any of the shops we visit along the way are at your own cost, I will not be held responsible for crafty supply shopping!

Handmade Monday - Admitting defeat

Sometimes you have a great idea and come up with a product you think everyone will love.  Sure enough as soon as you release it everyone oohs and aaahs and there is real excitement over it, but...............

Nobody buys it!  You ask yourself why?, is it too expensive?, are the colours wrong? Perhaps people are a bit skint right now.

But still to no avail the blooming product wont shift.

Well here is my culprit.  The Scooter Bag

Great idea in principle, the initial customer who ordered one and gave me the idea loves hers, but I seem to have 15 others sitting in my stock pile with no homes.

So today the humble scooter bag has been officially discontinued, reduced from it's very reasonable £24.99 to a more affordable £15.00 to clear and hopefully they will all be gone by the end of the week!

Spread the word people, SCOOTER BAGS FOR SALE

SALE SALE SALE SALE SALE

So I had a stall at the Lawdy Momma vintage show today.

Not knowing exactly how big my stall would be or where I would be located I packed the car with everything I own and OMG it's sooooo much stuff!

Not only did I take loads with me (I only put 1/3 of it out on display)! but in unpacking all my cupboards at home I came across craft materials, old display items, various box loads of vintage china and homewares and all sorts of paraphernalia that you would no doubt all love, but there is just no easy way of showing you on-line.

So I have a solution........................

Yes Please Santa

As many of you know I am off to sunnier climes for Christmas and New Year on Wednesday so I will not be partaking in the Christmas Fair circuit this year. I have my last event of the year on Saturday and so on Sunday (stock levels dependant) I will be having a little end of season clear out.

I've decided to make it more fun to turn it into a game and we will be playing 'Yes Please Santa' on my facebook page from 8pm on Sunday 27th November.

There will be lots of goodies suitable for Christmas presents as well as some end of line products. Some items discounted and lots of special offers. Think teabag holders, handwarmers, mittens, smellies and pretty little gifts.

Heres the rules:

  • I will post pictures up on my facebook page of the item and it's price including postage. The first person to comment underneath with the words 'Yes Please Santa' will be able to purchase the item.
  • I will then message you the payment details (if you want to wait till the end of the evening for a total then do let me know as there may be more items you win and therefore your postage can be combined).
  • Payment MUST be made by 10pm on Monday 28th November as items will be posted on Tuesday morning. If you have not paid for your items by this time then they will be packed back into the stock room until I return from my travels in January.
  • Payment is by paypal personal transaction and all items will be posted standard parcel 2nd class.

So tell your friends and make sure you are online from 8pm, pour yourself a glass of wine, crack open the mince pies and get ready to be snappy with your comments.

Good luck, I hope you all get what your looking for.

Claire
